Showcase for the Clerical Medical and Bristol Schools
Financial Capability and Enterprise Project

Teams of young people from 10 Bristol Secondary Schools will becompeting with films they have made working with Bristol Film-makerswhich showcase an aspect of Financial Capability. Schools of the futurewill need to work closely with all sectors and this project is anexcellent example of partnership in action at many levels.

Clerical Medical (HBOS – FS) is working with ABLAZE to sponsor 10secondary schools in Bristol to develop ways of integrating personalfinance and enterprise into their school curriculum. This has resultedin exciting projects taking place within some of Bristol’s mostchallenged schools including Withywood, The Meriton, MuslimSupplementary School, Speedwell, Brislington, Hartcliffe EngineeringCollege, Hengrove, Henbury, City Academy and Monks Park

The event on 5 July 2007 provides an opportunity for pupils and theiradult partners from Business and Bristol’s Creative/Media/Film Sector,to showcase this innovative work, to celebrate, evaluate and sharesuccesses and to encourage the extension of the project into otherschools. They will be competing for awards in a variety of categoriesrelated to personal financial capability and enterprise. We anticipatehighly creative presentations as the project team consist of peoplefrom the creative industry backed up by volunteers from ClericalMedical.
