nh_dn.jpgMyth, Mind and the Screen : Understanding the Heroes of our Time is a book by John Izod, which demonstrates how Jungian analysis can provide fresh insight into the psychological dimensions of contemporary mythology and the subjective experience of audiences. He also argues that in the Western world cinema and television bear much of the responsibility for collective emotional mediation that in previous centuries was borne by organised religion. Many strands within my practice are unified by an enduring interest in these ideas. To develop my understanding, I assemble data on the following pages to illuminate the concept and the range of it's territory.
